To provide all junior secondary school leavers in the territory with opportunity for senior secondary education without discrimination;

To develop and promote Nigerian languages, art and culture in the context  of world’s cultural heritage;

To inspire students with a desire for self-discipline, self improvement and achievement of excellence;

To ensure that all FCT public senior secondary schools fully implement the National Policy on Education (NPE);

To encourage community participation through Parent Teachers Association (PTA) and School Management Committee (SMC) activities;

To recruit teaching and non-teaching staff and also embark on capacity building of staff with the view to improving their performance;

To ensure high retention and completion rates of students in FCT public senior secondary schools through the introduction of special incentives and promotion of healthy competitions;

To provide enabling environment and encourage the students to participate in curricular and co-curricular activities with the view to bringing out their latent talents; and

Provide necessary infrastructure and training for the sustainability of ICT in the senior secondary school system for effective functioning of students in the modern World.
 

 
To provide and sustain qualitative senior secondary education which prepares FCT children between the ages of 15 and 18 years for higher educational pursuit based on their intellectual endowment.

To serve as a strategic vehicle for the provision and management of accessible and affordable education in the FCT public senior secondary schools in line with the dictates of the National Policy on Education (NPE) and the FCT operational guidelines.
